Thought it might be a good idea to start a topic where people can post any information they find about Audrey's new film Soins complets. It is directed by Pierre Salvadori, who directed Hors de Prix and is written by the same team who wrote the screenplay for that film (Pierre Salvadori and Benoit Graffin). It also stars Natalie Baye, who appeared with Audrey in Vénus beauté (institut).

I found a brief synopsis of the plot on ioncimema.com:

Co-written by Salvadori and Benoît Graffin, Soins Complets (Complete Care) centres on a hair salon manager (Tautou) unable to help her mother (Baye), who has been feeling depressed since her husband left her. But the young woman receives an anonymous love letter which gives her an idea: she changes the name of the address and puts that of her mother's instead. This plan works almost too well: her mother recovers her taste for life and starts to wait impatiently by the letter box. Delighted but caught in her own trap, her daughter thus has to find someone who can play the role of the amorous author.

Anyone else got any other details?

June 8, 2009 - Tautou and Baye start shooting Salvadori's Soins Complets

Shooting gets underway today in Sète on Pierre Salvadori’s seventh feature, Soins Complets (“Complete Care”).

After the success of Priceless (2.15m admissions in France), the director reunites with Audrey Tautou (Coco Before Chanel), who stars alongside Nathalie Baye (Client) and Sami Bouajila (Inside Ring). The cast also includes Stéphanie Lagarde, Judith Chemla and Daniel Duval.

Co-written by the director and his usual collaborator Benoît Graffin, Soins Complets centres on a hair salon manager (Tautou) unable to help her mother (Baye), who has been feeling depressed since her husband left her. But the young woman receives an anonymous love letter which gives her an idea: she changes the name of the addressee and puts that of her mother instead.

This plan works almost too well: her mother recovers her taste for life and starts to wait impatiently by the letter box. Delighted but caught in her own trap, her daughter thus has to furnish further missives, as well as find someone who can play the role of the amorous author.

Produced by Philippe Martin for Les Films Pelléas, who have backed all Salvadori’s features (from Wild Target in 1993, to The Apprentices and After You), Soins Complets has co-production support from TF1 Films Production, and pre-sales from Canal + and Ciné Cinéma.

The film also has backing from Sofica Coficup, Cinémage and the Languedoc-Roussillon region, where most of the shoot will take place (except for two days in Paris) until August 5. Domestic distribution will be handled by Pathé, while Wild Bunch is managing international sales.

Amazon.fr now have the DVD of De vrais mensonges up for pre-order. The release date is the 25th of May. There is no mention of whether the release might include English subtitles.

De vrais mensonges has just been released in DVD and Blu-ray (and VCD) in Hong Kong under the title Beautiful Lies. Both have English and Chinese subtitles.

Blu-ray and DVD of Beautiful Lies (De vrais mensonges) are due to be released in the UK as well on the 7th of November. The extras apparently include an "exclusive interview with Audrey Tautou". Only subtitles would appear to be English.
